Beauty Gives Back #SDMBeautyGala

On November 7, there’s a gala taking place like no other.

Participating Shopper’s Drug Mart stores in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, PEI, and Newfoundland are hosting cosmetic galas in support of Beauty Gives Back.

If you’ve never heard of Beauty Gives Back, here’s a little bit about them:

We dedicate ourselves to treating the emotional fallout from cancer. Using the sum total of our knowledge, experience, expertise and resources, we do what women trust and rely on us to do – to make them feel human again in the face of the ravages of cancer and its treatment. In doing so, we help restore their confidence, and the confidence of those around them, to continue fighting with conviction and living with dignity.

Tickets for the gala are just $10, with $5 going to Beauty Gives Back. Guests also receive $5 towards any purchase they like to make during the gala.

How To Remove Jeans Stains From Your Bags #YouGotThis

With the weather getting increasingly cooler as each day passes, I’ve found myself packing away my dresses and skirts and turning to my classic fall staple: dark jeans. Turns out though, my jeans and leather handbags don’t play so well together and wearing both has resulted in blue stains on most of my purses. I assumed the only way to restore my bags was to get them professionally cleaned, so I set them off to the side to take care of later.

This weekend though, I was inspired by Canadian Tire’s #YouGotThis contest and, after scrolling through countless videos featuring DIY fixes to everyday projects, I felt empowered to take on my own!
With just a couple materials from Canadian Tire and only a few minutes out of my day, I had given my favourite bag a much-needed facelift. Check out the video below to see how!

Gold Office Accessories

I will be redesigning my office. I have not been a fan of “gold” accessories for at least 10 years…but now I can’t get enough of it! I started with Nate Berkus Stainless Steel Scissors to start from Target. They were so popular it was difficult to find them in stock – but I did~

These are the items I will be adding to my desktop.

Next on my list is these gorgeous file folders! There are 2 options: dots and stripes. I love them both, though I believe I will see the stripes as my primary folder.
