Have you heard of Carl’s Crew? I’ve been keeping track of the health challenges from Carl Savard, Subway Canada’s Commit to Fit brand ambassador.
Week two of the program just started, and Carl’s Crew is asking us to list something that has been put off for a long time. This was a simple choice for me, but something that I find challenging to accomplish. When the combination of work, family and social life make it hard to find extra time in the day, it’s easy for health and wellness to fall to the wayside. Here are my three goals for the next month:
1. Meal prep ahead of time to avoid dining out
2. Head to the gym at least four times per week
3. Consume less carbohydrates, instead replacing them with fruits and vegetables
These are simple goals – but when life gets hectic, we often look for the easiest solution to solve our hunger pangs. This often means consuming fast foods high on sodium, saturated fats and carbohydrates. These foods can make us feel better in the short-term, but their long-term consequences can be severe. Staying on track with Subway Canada and Carl Savard should help me to achieve my goal.
